Trick or Treat

We had a great time Trick or Treating! We made it quite a few houses this year! Of course we dressed up as princesses. Ava was Belle and Molly was Ariel. They really got into it this year. They ran up to every house and were quite impressed with what they got! Molly had to run up to me after every house and show me what she got! The girls had as much fun giving out candy after we got home as they had trick or treating!

Pumpkins

Last night we carved our pumpkins. As most projects these days, Mom and Dad where more into it than the girls were! This year was fun because Ava and Molly actually "drew" the faces onto the pumpkins before we carved them. We are enjoying the yummy toasted seeds! Happy Halloween!!

Snow Day

Well, winter is here! I am not ready for the cold or all the snow quite yet. So far we have 23 inches and predicted to get 4-8 more inches!! And it's cold too! It's 23 with a wind chill of 6. In October?? What kind of winter are we going to have? At least it's supposed to be in the 50's on Halloween and in the 60's next week. And the kids love the snow! This is really the first year that the actually enjoy playing in the snow. It was so funny watching Molly try to walk in it when it was up to her belly button!! Both Ava and Molly enjoyed eating the snow. And they enjoyed swinging on the playset in the backyard even though it was covered in snow!!

The Wildlife Experience

This week we discovered a wonderful place called the Wildlife Experience. We met our good friends Carol, Celeste, Andrew and Sadie there! It was so much fun! There was a butterfly maze and after each exhibit the kids got a stamp on a card. I think that was my girls' favorite part. We watched a great IMAX movie on the ocean. Rachel loved it! Then we had an animal scavenger hunt through different climates in the Globology section. There was so much to see we ran out of time! There was a lot we didn't get to see!!

The Final Picnic

Monday's are our busy day. Ava has school and then both girls go to Tot Sports Class right after school. We have about an hour in between school and class. Since a majority of the sports class is in Ava's preschool class, we meet for lunch at a park right by the Rec Center. Today was probably the last time for our picnic. I hear the weather is supposed make a dramatic change tomorrow. The weather was absolutely perfect! It was great to sit under a big tree having a picnic while watching the leaves fall. We all have made wonderful friends with out little preschool school group. Hopefully we can do another class together.

Fall Fun

I spent the majority of the day on Sunday raking leaves. It wouldn't have taken that long normal but, with three kids, nothing can get done in one block of time. Mike was busy painting the new fireplace mantel so I was on my own in the yard. I really didn't mind the raking. It was a nice change of pace especially the peace and quiet in the yard after the girls were napping. I wish I could do more lawn work instead of laundry, dishes and other in house tasks. The girls enjoyed "helping" and playing in the leaves. Here's to one round of leaves done with at least two more rounds to come. Why can't all the leaves fall of the trees at the same time?? It would sure make my life and work a lot easier!!!

Ava's First Field Trip

On Monday, Ava's class went to downtown Littleton for a field trip. The play they saw was Aesop-a-Rebop. I was so nervous for her to go by herself, in someone else's car. She did great. And had a wonderful time. She even went up on stage when they asked for volunteers. We are still shocked about that! Here are some pictures that Ava's teacher took. Ava is the one in the pink coat.

Rachel's Stats And Rice Cereal

On Thursday, we took Rachel for her 4 month well check up. Everything is great! Poor thing got 3 shots in the leg and one oral shots! Poor baby. She did surprising well though. Cried only for 1 minute until I picked her up! Now the poor thing has a cold and is dealing with the after effects of the shots. :( She is in the 48% for weight and the 75% for height. Our big girl! The doctor gave us permission to start on rice cereal anytime! So, we started the cereal tonight! She did great and absolutley loved it. Kicked her feet and wanted more. Let's hope it fills that little tummy up so we start sleeping through the night!!

A Day in Ava's Class

I had a great time today volunteering in Ava's room. She has a great class and even more wonderful teachers! Can't wait to go back next month!

Weekend with Nana and Papa

This weekend we had the pleasure of spending the entire weekend with Grandma and Grandpa Cummings. The girls were so excited to see them. And even more excited that they were having a sleepover for 2 nights! They always bring fun things for the girls! This year they brought the cutest dresses for all three girls. I was only able to get a picture of Molly in hers. She wore it all weekend long!

The girls are flooded with gifts and goodies from the Schmidts too! Molly got a new doll that actually pees and poops for her birthday. It was a lot of fun watching the girls praise the doll when she peed! "We are so proud of you Jerry!". Yes, Jerry is the new doll's name!

Molly loves her new bedding courtesy of the Schmidts and Ava is obessed with the Barbie computer and all the new books!!

Thanks for everything Nana and Papa!!

Mother's Tea

Yesterday I had the pleasure of being honored by Ava and her preschool class. It was a wonderful morning. The preschoolers put on a wonderful performance for all of the mothers. We got to hear their wonderful little voices sing a few songs for us.

Then we got to enjoy tea and spice cake. Ava made me a wonderful jewelery box and a necklace. So cute! Poor thing was such a great sport. She has been fighting a cold for a few days now. As she can see from these pictures she didn't feel to well. But, it was wonderful to spend some one on one time with her.
