Molly's First Haircut

I took the girls to Lolilocks for haircuts today. Molly's first. Of course she cried the second I set her down in the cool car. So, she sat on my lap the entire haircut. She cried a little but mostly just said ouch! It was very funny! Ava got a cute cut as well!!

Easter

I forgot my camera on Easter so, I had to steal some pictures from Aunt Jaclyn. Thank goodness she always remembers to bring her camera! We had a great day and although the weather started out cold and snowy, it warmed up. We woke up and went to mass. Then after mass we went to brunch. Aunt Jaclyn and Uncle Ryan brought the girls a big Easter basket full of goodies. The favorite by far was the bubbles!! It was a beautiful day to chase bubbles in the grass.

All about Ava

Yesterday, was all about Ava. Since she has been asking for Daddy to "spend the time" with her, Mike took her to Fat City. Molly and Mommy had some alone time together at home! They played video games, climbed on the bouncy houses, and jumped in the balls. I am not sure who had more fun-Ava or Mike.

After a morning of Daddy time, Ava went to her first Baby shower with me. There were other kids there so she had a great time! She couldn't understand what a shower was and wondered why we didn't sing Happy Birthday to the baby!!

Easter Egg Coloring

After weeks of waiting, on Saturday we colored our eggs. Next year I won't by the dye kit so early. Ava has been asking for weeks to "paint" eggs. The girls had so much fun! It was so much fun to watch. Ma ma and Pa pa came over to watch. Molly took to the dying right away. And was very serious. Especially with the stickers. She started crying when we took her favorite yellow egg away from her. Ava tried to see how fast and how many she could color at once. I don't think that she gets the concept yet. She keeps asking to see what's inside the egg! Now we have 2 dozen eggs to eat!

The Many Faces of Molly

Molly turned 18 months yesterday! She is growing up so fast and talking like you would not believe! Her new thing is actually putting two words together. Her favorite words are thank you mommy, cookie monster, elmo, bert, ernie and of course Papa. What a climber she is. I think it is her goal in life to make me nervous. Her new past time is pulling the chairs out from under the kitchen table and climbing up on the table and just sitting there. I have never seen her actually moving the chairs but would love how she does it. Is there some kind of chair lock to get?? She is 18 months going on 4. We think it's because she has a big sister to keep up with.

Here are her stats: She weighs 30 1/2 inches, the 20th percentile and weighs 22lbs. 5oz which is in the 24th percentile! Molly is little in stature but her attitude makes us for it! Her new nickname is spitfire! Here are some pictures of Molly during her favorite thing-playing dress up!

Fun Times with Great Friends

Yesterday, we met our friends the Hulquests at their Rec Center. We love going there! Ava and John have so much fun swimming together and Molly and Claire have fun making faces and grunting at each other. It won't be long until the two of them are swimming and playing together too! So, we swam for a while, then went into the hot tub, and ate lunch.

After swimming, we got to go to the indoor playground. That's a favorite of my girls too. Especially in the winter when it's so yucky outside!

We played really hard. And we both took a nap after we got home. Thanks Marie, John and Claire for a fun day!!

Ready, Set....

If you know Mike, you already know that he loves throwing the girls around. I tease him that she starts wrestling with the kids when they are days old! Just this past week, Molly really seems to have gotten into the whole playing around thing. So, here is Daddy and Molly's new game. I just love her little voice and her counting!

Happy Birthday Grandma

Yesterday was Grandma's birthday. So, after church we went to Outback for some great steaks. The girls were very well behaved. Ava even made friends with a little girl at the table beside us. The girls ate all of their dinner. And then got a "surprise" of an ice cream sundae. When we go out to dinner and it's a long dinner, we order the girls' meals right away. So, when we are eating our entrees, the girls get to have their dessert. After the adult dinner, we had to have "birthday cake" and sing to Grandma. Ava and Molly ate most of that too! At one point, Ava turned to my mom and said, "Could you tell my mom I am stuffed!" It was so funny. I think she thought that she had to eat all of it! We hope you had a great birthday Grandma! We love you!!!
