Fancy Nancy Extravaganza

Last Saturday Molly, Ava and I headed to our old neck of the woods for a great morning.  Being huge fans of Fancy Nancy, I couldn't pass up the opportunity.  Wow!  What a treat.  Everything was Fancy.  We got to eat Fancy cupcakes with Fancy lemonade, make fancy tiaras, watch a Fancy play and we even got to meet the author of the Fancy Nancy Books Jane O'Connor.  The girls had smiles on their faces the entire time.  They liked the play the best and had to have their picture taken with the little girl who played Nancy!  I am so happy to have little girls that I can do fun girlie stuff like this with!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

From my little Leprechaun....

Ava's How Do Demo

Last Friday, Ava did a demonstration to her classmates on How to Change a Baby's Diaper.  It turned out very cute.  Poor thing still didn't feel all that great after being sick all week.  Notice her helpers for moral support.

Well, I had the video of her presentation and for some reason it won't upload.  So here are a few pictures instead.  I wish you could see the video.  She is a politician just like her father.  NO FEAR!  At the end, she asked if anyone had questions or comments.  She called on several kids and then she said "Ok... that it!  No more questions!"  Mike and I cracked up!

Sickness Blues

Last week was a long week. Probably because we were so off our schedule! Rachel started with the pikes on Monday. Ava woke up Tuesday morning whining because her legs hurt. I sent her to school and told her to call me. Ava is not a complainer. So I expected a call from the school nurse. She made it through the day but came home and went immediately to the couch. She had a slight fever. Molly has had this nasty cold for weeks now. The cough will NOT go away. Everyone in her class at school is the same way! Ava wakes up Tuesday morning with a fever of 103. She did not get off the couch ALL day. Her legs hurt so bad we had to carry her up to bed that night. Wednesday morning I sent Molly and Rachel to school. They were at each others throats so I figured if they could fight, they could go to school. Ava's fever finally broke on Thursday but she still wasn't 100 percent and she looked horrible! Thank goodness Mike was working from home that day because I needed to get out. Rachel, Molly and I went to the mall. Friday finally came and I was looking forward to a sick free weekend. I got home from my run around 6:45. Rachel was up. Rachel is NEVER the first one up. I knew something was wrong...felt her head and took her temp...101! Wonderful! So, Ava Passed her fever onto Rachel. Rachel layed around all day on Friday and developed a nasty cold! Thank goodness Mike was working from home again so I was able to run Molly to school and watch Ava's presentation at school. I will post the video next post. Saturday morning I woke with a horrible sore throat. Months ago, I had purchased tickets to The Fancy Nancy Extravaganza. The girls had been looking forward to this for months and so I sucked it up? I will post pictures of this too! We had fun considering my sore throat, Molly croopy sounding cough and Ava's still pale skin and sick looking eyes. We spread our germs around! Feeling like complete crap last night, I went to bed early and was glad that Sundays are my sleep in days! I woke up still having a sore throat to Molly throwing up! Enough already! Thank goodness the weather is supposed to be in the 70's all week! I will be opening every window and door in this house to get rid of germs! Happy Sunday everyone!
