Warmer Day at the Park

This weekend the weather was beautiful. Ava has been asking for weeks now if the park is "Open". So, on Sunday we told her since most of the snow was melted and it was 64 degrees, that the park was open. We had a picnic lunch. It was definitely a "winter" 64 with a lot of wind! The girls didn't mind though. Molly has finally mastered the slide! Thank goodness. She has been so frustrated, trying for months to be just like Ava. This girl has no fear! Here come the broken arms!

Stock Show

Last night, while Mom and Dad went to some friends house, Grandma, Grandpa and Uncle Ryan took the girls to the stock show. They enjoyed petting the baby cows but were scared to death of the turkeys and the chickens. I guess they were pretty loud. They got to ride on a horse and Ava took a train ride.

New Carpet-Yeah!!!

This week we bit the bullet and got new carpet. Very badly needed new carpet. It was fun knowing we were going to get it because we didn't have to worry about the old stuff. Molly and Ava thought it was so cool to have a picnic lunch on the floor in the family room. It was a lot of work. Almost as bad a moving. But, so worth it! Now we have to break all the old habits of eating and drinking in the family room!

Ava's First Trip to the Dentist

So, yesterday Mom and Ava had a dentist appointment. It was the first time visiting a dental office for Ava. She was a great patient. It was as if I wasn't there. While I sat in the waiting room, Ava took the hygienist's hand and went back for X-rays. I heard her gabbing away. I can't believe she sat still for the pictures to be taken. Then she was a perfect angel for the dentist while he checked her out. She stayed in one room by herself and the hygienist cleaned her teeth while I was getting my teeth cleaned. Amazing! She was so proud of her new toothbrush, stickers and floss. If I would have known it was this easy, I would have scheduled the appointment a long time ago!

Molly Mouse

Molly had her 15 month check-up yesterday. I guess that the nickname Mouse fits her. Little did we know when Ava nicknamed her when she was a few months old, it would be with her still. She is still little-like a mouse.
She is 30 inches, which is the 45th percentile and she weighs 20lbs. 3 oz which is only the 20th percentile. She has a great memory too. The second the doctor walked into the room, she started crying. Unfortunately, she got two very painful shots. Thankfully, a sucker took the pain away.

Vacation in Arizona

We had a great time in Arizona. Thank goodness the flight there was uneventful. I wouldn't have wanted any longer of a flight though. Ava watched a movie the entire way. Molly got restless towards the end. This year Nana and Papa's friends lent us their condo. Only a 5 minute drive from their house! It became known as the airport house. It suited us perfectly. We felt like we were staying directly in the desert. The wild pigs and coyotes walked right by our front door. The weather was kind of cold but it didn't stop the kids from swimming in the pool! Ava had tons of fun with her cousins and even had a sleepover at their hotel. Molly must have caught a nasty flu bug from our travels. She was sick for the last few days we were there. Before she got sick, she took a special liking to Uncle Kevin and Uncle Perry. Overall, once adjusted, without the flu, we had a great time and the girls were wonderful travelers!
