Rachel at 4 months

Where did the time go? These last few months have been a complete blur!! But my sweet little angel is growing up so fast! She is now rolling over, babbling and laughing. Last night we stopped swaddling her! I guess that she is really no longer a newborn. We go to the doctor for our 4 month well check in a couple of weeks but here are some pictures of this princess!

Sports Class

We have very eventful Mondays. After we pick up Ava from school, we meet several of her friends and their Mom's at the park for a quick picnic lunch. We have about 35 minutes to play and eat. Then we all head to the rec center for Tot Sports. This is the best class! Every week the students learn a different sport. The girls love it! The first week was soccer, the second week was kickball, and today the girls learned how to play softball. It's a great way to spend the afternoon. And a great way to learn about different sports with other kids! Molly is the youngest and hates to wear anything but a dress to class. It's a struggle most Monday's to get her out of her dress and into her "sport class clothes".

Art Museum

On Tuesday, we met Marie and her girls downtown to check out the Denver Art Museum. We had such a great time. There was so much for the girls to do! There were blocks, little and big, art projects, dress up and our favorite exhibit, was the bubbles. The girls had fun popping shadow bubbles on the floor. We need to go back because there was a lot of things we didn't get a chance to see!

Fishing Derby

On Sunday, Mike decided to take the girls fishing for the first time! This weekend at Clement Park there were having a Summerfest. The fishing derby began at 7:00 am. We woke the girls up at 6:15. It was still dark and that was very confusing to the girls. Ava asked "Is it still nighttime?" Molly had a hard time waking up. It was very exciting since Mike told the girls that they didn't have to brush their hair or their teeth when they go fishing. That made them like fishing before the poles were even in the water!

They really enjoyed themselves. Molly enjoyed playing with the bait. She thought the little worms were so cute! Ava was tired out by 8:00 so, they were home by 8:15. No one caught any fish but Molly had a bite. It was a good first fishing adventure!

Closet Sleeper

Ever since we have moved, Molly has been napping in her closet. It is by her choice! I thought that maybe it was because we didn't have window coverings on her windows. Nope. The curtains finally came in and our up but she still likes the dark closet. She takes her Ariel pillow and a blanket and covers herself up. "Close the closet door all the way but leave my bedroom door open just a little Mommy" are the words I hear everyday at naptime. It bothered me at first but now I am happy that she naps at all!!

Family Fun Fest

Saturday morning to celebrate Molly's "birthday" we headed downtown to the PBS Kids Fest. My kids love PBS and watch several shows on this channel. It was a lot of fun to see their favorite characters and tour the studio. My favorite part was all of the samples we got to taste and bring home! The girls got to meet Steve! He is the guy who sings songs in between the shows. I think Ava may have a little crush on him. She kept saying I love him! I love him!

Molly's 3rd Birthday

On Saturday, we celebrated Molly's birthday. Her actual birthday is not until the 19th but because of everyone going to Texas for a fishing tournament, we celebrated it last night. She had an Ariel birthday of course! An Ariel cake, and all of the gifts she got were Ariel related! I don't think that there is anything at the Disney Store left to buy that has Ariel on it! Aunt Jaclyn and Uncle Ryan even got her an Ariel dress. She has not taken it off since she got it even sleeping in it! I am thinking that I will have to buy a new one before Halloween. We had so much fun at Mr. Biggs!!

Labor Day

Well, Labor Day weekend was definitely full of Labor for us! Especially Mike. It was my brilliant idea to tackle our next big project.. the family room! Fortunatly for me, my job is always the same... keeping the girls entertained and out of the way!
On Friday night we had a GREAT cookout with our new neighbors. It was fun to visit and to watch the kids play. The food was wonderful too!
We woke up bright and early Saturday morning and began the destruction. It took us just about all day to get the nasty beams down. Little patching to do except for the last beam which was glued to the ceiling. So, it torn the texture off.

We had lunch with our neighbors again because of all of the leftovers! I think that we are all dreading the end of summer. The end of the kids playing for hours on the street so we wanted to get as much in this weekend as possible. Then we went to our usual Saturday night mass. After church we went out for pizza with Grandma and Pa Pa. It was great to see Pa Pa after being in Texas for the past few weeks.

On Sunday, we worked more on the family room. We got all of the beams down, the shelving down, and the ugly paneling behind the fireplace down. And removed the fireplace mantel. Not sure what we are going to do about that. What a difference that makes! And just a few holes but a lot of texturing to do!

Sunday night, we had a cookout at Grandma and Pa Pa's house. We decided to walk! It took us a whole 13 minutes to walk there! We are so excited to be so close!
This morning Mike finished removing the rest of the paneling, and the base boards on the lower walls. Not sure if we knew what we were in store for with this little project. It's going to be a long time before we have our family room back in order but it's looking better already. Now for the texturing, and painting. Our goal is to have everything done by Oct. 1. My husband is such a great sport! Thanks dear for ALL of your hard work this weekend!!

Rachel had her own fun this weekend. She has started to roll over! She know rolls from her back onto her stomach. This makes her very upset because her arm gets stuck underneath her and she HATES being on her stomach. Here are some pictures of her sleeping through the destruction on her side.

Sassy Salon Girls

On Sunday, we celebrated Lauren's 6th birthday. She had her party at the Sweet and Sassy Salon in Aurora. It was right up my girls' alley. Wow! Did they have a good time. They LOVE birthday parties but this one had it all. When we first arrived, the party hosts took the girls back to chance. Molly and Ava came out in beautiful princess dresses. Then they got their hair, makeup, and nails done. After dancing for a little while on the stage, the girls got to strut their stuff on the runway. They even did a little interview with each girl and announced her as she walked down the runway! My girls were in heaven! Even Rachel! Thanks Lauren for inviting us! We hope you had as much fun as we did!

I would HIGHLY recommend this place for a party. It's too bad the only Colorado location is in Aurora.
