Rachel- 1 Month

I can't believe that Rachel is already four weeks old. Where did the time go? It's a big blur. There are days where I feel like I am losing my mind because of lack of sleep. And to top it off, I have been fighting off what I can only guess is hormone induced migraines. I have had 3 headaches in 4 weeks. They are totally debilitating and I am bedridden for 2 days. I am blessed to have such a wonderful husband and parents who have helped me through this. Oh and the percocet helps too.
Ava and Molly are still in complete awe of their baby sister. They still love helping and holding her whenever they can. I am waiting for the "newness" to wear off. For the most part, if she has a full belly, and a clean diaper, we have a laid back baby on our hands. She loves her bouncy seat and will sit for quite a while and watch her sisters. But, if she is hungry, or needs a diaper change, watch out.
Just the other day, our little angel started smiling. What a joy! And I am very impressed with myself that I was able to catch this on video!

Dance Recital

On Saturday morning, we had a pleasure of watching Ava dance on stage. She has been working on this routine for a long time now. Ava looked beautiful in her fancy dress. She did great! We were concerned at how she would do because she barely danced during practice! How proud we were of her!

Father's Day

This year we had a very low key father's day. Because I was "blessed" with a migraine headache, and in bed all day, we stayed in. Mike did take the girls out for ribs however. We hope that Daddy loves his new temperpedic pillow!

Introducing.... Rachel Ann Cummings

Today I was finally able to get a picture of this sweet girl with her eyes open. She is a huge blessing to our family. The adjustment has been going smoothly so far. I did forget what it was like to have a newborn. The lack of sleep, the laundry and all of the diaper changes! It seems like the second I try to get something done, Rachel wakes up. With the third, it's amazing how I know that all of this is short lived. I am enjoying it and taking it all in. She is very mellow. Not sure if it's all she's been through in her young life or if it's her disposition. She know weighs 7 oz over her birth weight and is eating every 3 hours with a long stretch of 5 hours. Unfortunately, that 5 hour stretch is during the day.

Ava and Molly are in complete love with her. They are the biggest help. Always willing to get me a diaper, wipes or a blanket. She doesn't seem to mind when they are in her face. They just wish she would be awake more often and can't wait for the day she can play with them.
