A Day at the Zoo
We picked a beautiful day to visit the zoo. It wasn't too hot and not busy at all. We enjoyed our picnic lunch and a treat of cotton candy. The highlights of the day were the Carousel and the 5 minute train ride.
Molly's favorite animals were the giraffes and Ava loved the bird show. It was a fun day! Thanks Carol, Andrew and Celeste!

Busy Memorial Day Weekend
This year we had a very memorable Memorial Day. Mike and I got well needed getaway. Ma ma and Pa pa were kind enough to watch the girls from Thursday-Monday. We went to Arizona for a long weekend. The weather was very rainy for the first few day but we were able to get one day at the pool. That was okay for us. All we wanted to was relax. And do absolutely nothing. Nana and Papa let us stay at their place in Fountain Hills. It was soo quiet. For the first couple of days we weren't sure how to handle it. But we adjusted. We watched so many movies. I don't think I have watched so many since my kids have been born. Let's just say I am caught up for the next 3 years. It was nice eating meals uninterrupted. We had a great time at dinner with Uncle Kevin, Aunt Nancy, Bill, and Marshall.
While we were having some down time in Arizona, there was no down time in Denver with the girls. I think that Ma ma and Pa pa wore the girls and themselves out! They did so much! They went swimming, to the Butterfly Pavilion, to McDonalds and saw a live show by a real Roland McDonald, and they saw Horton Hears a Who. Not to mention all the walks they took to the park. They had a great time! Unfortunatley, the camera was left on the kitchen counter. So, no one got pictures of our fun weekends! I can't blog without a picture so, here is a picture of the girls playing outside in their pool. They wake up, eat breakfast as fast as they can and head outside. There is no time to get dressed! I love summer!! Molly's new thing is to not look at the camera so, that's why she is not really posing in the pictures.

Four Wheeling With the Boys
Mike has a new habit. A new and expensive habit. He spent the weekend in Grand Junction, CO learning how to 4 Wheel. Lucky for us, we don't have a four wheel drive vehicle so, he went with his friend Mike. I was glad for him to be practicing on someone else's car. He had a great time and learning a lot about how to maneuver a car on very rough terrain.
I was looking forward to a fun girls weekend. Unfortunately, we weren't able to do much. The flu bug got us once again. Molly got it first and Ava was running a slight fever all weekend.

Nana and Papa's Visit
This weekend we had the pleasure of having Nana and Papa here. We got to share a few days with them. The girls really enjoyed it. It was nice to hang out and spend some quality time with them. And for the first time in her short life, Molly was actually healthy for their entire visit. The girls are anxiously waiting for the birds to move in and use the bird feeder they brought for them.

Florida 08
We spent 13 wonderful days in Florida. The weather was wonderful! And the beach was gorgeous. The girls enjoyed swimming and playing on the beach everyday. We also visited Emily's horse Maxx, went to Emily's school and had lunch. The highlight of the trip was Disney world! The girls absolutely loved it! Ava couldn't get enough of the rides and the princesses. Molly liked the rides as long as she could sit on someone's lap. From the pictures you can see that Molly slept through most of the day at Disney World. She took a 3 hour nap in her stroller!! We are looking forward to going back with Daddy! Thanks for everything Grandma! I couldn't possible choose which pictures to put on the site so I choose my favorites for a slide show.
